ChitoTech has published Atlas of Wound Healing a Tissue Regeneration Approach by Elsevier.

In this Atlas of Wound by Dr. Soheila S. Kordestani, a variety of wounds with diverse ethnicities and etiologies has been collected. The theoretical Part 1 of the text showcases the latest wound healing methods and treatment plans based on tissue regeneration. Part 2 covers patient case reports, which illustrate different types of wounds in varying sizes, stages and initial conditions. The cases will also cover concise treatment protocols. This part is the outcome of approximately 14 years of dedicated efforts to collect the result of using advanced wound care modalities on a large number of patients.

Preface: The increasing incidence of wounds in the aging population, the rising prevalence of diabetes and thus diabetic foot ulcer, and the large number of other chronic wounds associated with diseases and abnormalities make it imperative to have a deeper understanding of wounds and develop a preventive approach in the first instance. The new thinking in healthcare and the advent of advanced wound care modalities, which has become one of the major areas in regenerative medicine, has provided relatively better moist tissue environment, accelerated the inflammatory response, quality granulation tissue formation, and infection control during wound healing. Modern dressings provide an appropriate space to facilitate the cellular activities (i.e., migration and proliferation) and evoke the soluble mediators to regenerate the damaged tissues faster. This Atlas of Wound is the outcome of approximately 14 years of dedicated efforts to collect the result of using advanced wound care modalities on a large number of patients of diverse ethnicities with different types of acute and chronic wounds of different etiologies.
